Betting and game rules
General Betting Rules
Placing a Bet
1. Any bet placed through our Site is binding on both parties: we on the one side, and you who placed the bet on the other. Each bet is considered to be effective once you confirm your bet on our Site and as soon as the confirmed stake appears in your Account. Once the bet has been confirmed, you can no longer cancel it, nor alter its features.
2. We reserve the right to refuse to accept any bet without notification, justification or compensation. We shall in no way be held liable for typing, transmission or odds errors. We reserve the right to subsequently correct, with retroactive effect, obvious errors concerning the entry of odds and/or results (for example: a mistaken inversion of teams, odds, results, etc.).
3. You agree in placing a bet that;
i. you have not been informed of the result of the event(s) involved in your bet(s) at the time the bet was placed;
ii. the bet is not concerned with an event in which you are taking active part, in any capacity, including as an event official. In this case, we shall reserve the right to void the bet(s) concerned and pass on all relevant details to the relevant authorities, including ESSA;
iii. in the event that information likely to make the result of a competition predictable is made public during the bet acceptance period, we shall be allowed to void the bet concerned. For individual bets, this means we will refund the stake into the user's Account. In a combination bet, this means that the combined bet stands but the total odds will be calculated without the odds of the bet that has been declared void, that is this bet will be evaluated at odds of 1.00.
iv. in the event that the bet concerns an event the outcome of which we suspect has been fixed, we shall be allowed to void the bet concerned.
v. the time indicated by us constitutes the limit (deadline) after which you will no longer be allowed to place a bet, irrespective of the real starting time of the event. We apply the rule that the winner of a given competition is the person or team who has been declared to be the winner of the competition by midnight on the day on which the event itself concluded. Any modification of the results or classification arising after this time limit, such as a disciplinary measure, will therefore have no incidence on the result of the competition, which has been stated earlier. However, in the event that proof is established that a competition has been fixed, we reserve the right to void bets involving this competition such that the customer recovers his stake.
vi. Unless specified within the rules section for each sport, where an event (match or competition) is cancelled, postponed or abandoned, any relevant bets still remain valid if the event is resumed within 48 hours from its original starting time, otherwise bets will be deemed void. However, bets related to results already acquired at the moment of suspension (for example, the half-time result) will be settled regularly. In the event that the competitions are presented erroneously (e.g. inversion of the visiting/home teams, an opponent not playing against the displayed team), the bets concerned will be deemed void. In the event of at least two competitors being declared the winner (a “Dead Heat”), the odds will be resettled so your winnings would be divided by the number of Dead Heat winners. Example: In a Formula 1 race, consider the scenario in which Lewis Hamilton has odds of 6.00 for victory and Fernando Alonso has odds of 3.00 for victory, and both cars pass the finish line at the exact same time such that both drivers are declared the winner. If you have bet 5 Euros on Hamilton’s victory, your winnings will be then calculated like this: 5 x (((6-1)/2) + 1) = 17.5 Euros of winnings If you have bet 10 Euros on Alonso’s victory, your winnings will be calculated like this: 10 x (((3-1)/2) + 1) = 20 Euros of winnings In case of any discrepancy/discordance between name and number of a competitor, we will take the name of the competitor into consideration for the outcome of the bets.
vii. our records shall be the final authority in determining the validity and terms of any wagers you place and the circumstances in which they were made.
Sportsbook Winnings
4. Winnings will be automatically paid into your Account as soon as reasonably practicable after the event is settled and can immediately be used to place further bets.
5. When a single bet is won, the net winnings correspond to the amount of the stake multiplied by the odds, less the stake itself. When a multiple combination bet (accumulator) is won, the winnings correspond to the initial stake multiplied by the multiplication of the odds for each of the events that you predicted.
6. We also operate a pool system for certain bets, such as the BetClic 14 bet type, and other bets known as special bets. Rules for these bets differ from the rules for fixed odds betting. The final odds used to calculate your winnings are calculated once the bet is closed and according to the amount wagered by you and all the other bettors on the different choices. We shall distribute the available winnings between all the winners after deduction of a commission.
7. We reserve the right to correct any potential calculation errors in your Account balance at any time, including for bets whose winnings have been awarded. We undertake to communicate to you the statement of the corrections made.
8. The maximum amount of winnings payable to you is limited to 200,000 Euros (or its equivalent in other accepted currencies) per customer and per bet if it concerns a single or a multiple. We will apply this rule without any obligation to notify you - at the time that you confirm your bet - that the potential payout for the bet you have just placed is higher than the maximum amount of 200,000 Euros which will be paid to you if you win your bet. BetClic reserves the right to apply a winnings limit different to that stated in this paragraph and/or to determine specific winnings limits in respect of individual players at its sole discretion.
9. The limit of winnings that can be accumulated by you during one week (from Monday at 00.00 to the following Sunday at 24.00 (Central European Time) is 500,000 Euros (or its equivalent in other accepted currencies). BetClic reserves the right to apply a weekly winnings limit different to that stated in this paragraph and/or to determine specific winnings limits in respect of individual players at its sole discretion. The minimum stake for any bet is 0.5 EUR, £1, 2 PLN, 100 HUF, 11 CZK, 2 RON, 5 SEK, 3 DKK and 4 NOK. There is no stated maximum limit for bets, however we reserve the right to limit the maximum stake for certain bets, without communicating them on the Site. If this is the case and you place a bet whose stake exceeds the limit fixed by us, the system will nonetheless accept your bet at a lower stake and inform you about it. If you have placed several identical bets (single bets or bets in one or several multiple combinations) whose winnings exceed the aforementioned limits, we shall reserve the right to reduce the stakes placed by you on the bets concerned such that your winnings remain within the defined winnings limits.

Rules relating specifically to the Refer-a-Friend, Welcome Cashback and Deposit bonuses are set out below.
12. We reserve the right to cancel a bonus offer at any time in case of any abuse of the offer and to terminate the offender’s account with immediate effect. BetClic retains its right to prosecute offenders. ‘Abuse’ includes, but is not limited to, the opening of multiple accounts to claim multiple bonuses. For Accounts credited with bonus amounts - bets placed will be taken from any cash deposits first and, once all cash deposits have been used, from the bonus amounts in the Account. We reserve the right to cancel a bonus given to you following a deposit made by you if the deposit has not been used to place a bet. Please note that you will only be able to receive or benefit from offers that apply to your country of residence. The bonuses (apart from the Welcome Cashback) can be used on all sports bets on our Site. The rules regarding the Welcome Cashback are listed below. BetClic reserves the right to vary the amount of bonuses granted and the currencies in which they are granted depending on the user’s country of residence at any time and for any reason whatsoever. BetClic reserves the right to exchange one type of bonus offer for another at its sole discretion and at any time.
Refer-a-Friend promotion
13. The refer-a-friend promotion is a bonus applicable to existing users who have an Account (“Referrer”) and who refer for registration to the Site a friend or colleague who does not, and has never had, an Account (“Referee”). Users who are resident in any jurisdiction apart from a Prohibited Jurisdiction (as defined at 3.8 of these Terms & Conditions) are eligible for the refer-a-friend promotion. Referrers are not permitted to refer a member of their family nor are they permitted to refer friends or colleagues from the same household or with whom they share a credit or debit card or e-payment account. In the event that BetClic reasonably suspects that a Referrer has used spam, large email distribution lists or any other type of email abuse in order to refer new users, BetClic will not award a bonus to the Referrer and the Referrer will be eliminated from the Monthly Challenge. BetClic reserves the right to suspend the Referrer’s Account pending investigation and to terminate the Account.
14. In order for the Referrer and the Referee to receive a bonus, the Referee, having opened an Account, must deposit at least £20 (or the relevant amount/currency, as stated in the specific terms and conditions of the promotion which are located on the promotion landing page on the Site) in his Account and must place at least 10 separate bets on different sports events with at least three possible outcomes, the odds for which must be a minimum of 1.20 (“Qualifying Bets”). Each of the 10 bets must be placed on a different game, match or event. If the Referee loses his first bet, a bonus (to match the amount of the first bet placed by the Referee up to a maximum of £25) will be refunded to his Account. Within 24 hours of the Referee having placed all 10 valid bets, a bonus of £5 will be credited to the Referrer’s Account. In order to be withdrawn from his Account, the Referrer’s bonus must have been bet at least three times on sports events with at least three possible outcomes, the odds for which must be a minimum of 1.20. The Referee will not be entitled to any other bonus, and specifically will not receive the Welcome Cashback bonus, by virtue of registering with BetClic.
15. In order to participate in the Refer-a-Friend Monthly Challenge, the Referrer must introduce at least three valid Referees within the period of one calendar month. The winner of the Monthly Challenge is the Referrer who refers the most valid Referees to BetClic within the monthly period. Only Referees who have placed their Qualifying Bets before the end of the calendar month will be counted towards the Referrer’s total. In the event of a tie, the Referrer whose final Referee placed their tenth Qualifying Bet earliest will be the winner and will receive the first prize. Prizes are cash sums of varying amounts as detailed on the Refer-a-Friend Monthly Challenge web page and will be credited to the winner’s account within 3 weeks of the end of each month. Cash prizes stated in Euros on the Refer-a-Friend Monthly Challenge web page will be converted into the currency assigned to the user’s Account upon transfer to the winners’ Accounts. BetClic may, at its discretion, award additional bonuses to Referrers for the registration of multiple Referees.
16. By accepting these Terms and Conditions, the Referee consents to the Referrer being informed of the status of the Referee’s Qualifying Bets, namely the number of Qualifying Bets so far placed by the Referee for the purposes of the Refer-a-Friend Monthly Challenge only. Once ten Qualifying Bets have been placed by the Referee, the Referrer will no longer be able to view any information regarding bets placed by the Referee.

The bonus is applicable to Qualifying Users who place their first bet of up to £20 and lose this bet. The amount lost on this first bet up to a maximum of £20 will then be refunded to the user’s Account. The Welcome Cashback bonus can be used on all sports bets on the Site with the exception of the BetClic 14 and system bets. Only the first account registered from a computer will be eligible to receive the Welcome Deposit Bonus. Any subsequent registrations made from the same computer will not receive the Welcome Deposit Bonus. The Welcome Deposit bonus is applicable to Qualifying Users who make an initial deposit of up to €100 in their Account. The amount deposited on the user’s Account will be matched with a bonus of the equivalent amount, up to a maximum of €100. In order to unlock or withdraw the bonus, the user must bet the bonus three times, on one or more bets on different events, with a minimum of 1.20 odds. Each bet must be placed on an event with three or more outcomes. These withdrawal conditions in relation to the entire bonus amount must be satisfied in order to withdraw the bonus amount and any winnings derived from any part of the bonus. Where the withdrawal conditions have not been satisfied and a withdrawal request is made by the user, BetClic reserves the right to cancel the bonus offer and any winnings made by betting with the bonus amount. The Deposit bonus can be used on all sports bets on the Site. Any user who inserts the name of his Introducer upon registration for an Account will be entered into the Refer-a-Friend promotion and not the Welcome Deposit Bonus.

All bets on football matches apply to the statutory 90 minutes play, including injury time but not extra time or penalty shoot-outs, unless otherwise stated, as for betting on the team to qualify to the next round.
Bets will be accepted up to the time shown on the Site, which normally corresponds to the match kick-off, unless the selection is for an advertised "live betting" event. All bets placed on pre-live markets after the event has started are void.
If any match is abandoned before 90 minutes have been played the selection will be deemed void unless the outcome of the bet has already been decided, i.e. first scorer or time of first goal.
When an event (match or competition) is cancelled, postponed or abandoned, all relevant bets remain valid if the event is resumed within 24 hours from its original starting time. If the event has not started or resumed within this 24-hour period bets will be void.

- Last Goalscorer:
Bet on the player who will score the last goal of the match.

Both players must start the match for bets to stand.
- Match Result:

If you bet on Manchester United and the result of the game is 4-2 for them, you win your bet because: 4 minus 1 is 3 and 3 is above 2.
If you bet on Manchester United and the goal difference is under 1 (draw or Chelsea victory), you lose your bet.

- Double Chance:
Bet on two of the three possible outcomes in the match.
There are three possible outcomes:
Choice 1-X: The home team wins or the match is drawn
Choice 2-X: The away team wins or the match is drawn
Choice 1-2: The home or the away team wins
If a match is played at a neutral venue, or where no home team is declared, the team listed first on the Site is deemed the home team for betting purposes. The team listed second on the Site is deemed the away team for betting purposes.
- To Score Most Goals 1st Half:
Bet on the team that will score the most goals in the 1st half of the match.
- To Score Most Goals 2nd Half:

HORSE RACING/TURF

BetClic operates a ‘Mutual Pool System.’ BetClic distributes the money taken on the race between the winners, after deduction of commission by BetClic.
Rules for "turf bets" differ from the rules for "fixed odds" betting. Like for the specials bets, the final odds used to calculate your winnings for the "turf bets" are calculated once the bet is closed and according to the amount wagered by the bettors on the different choices. The odds indicated in the section "turf bets" are called "probable odds"; please be aware, these are only a guide-price and may vary considerably from the final odds returned when the event is closed. (This is especially true when the event and betting has just opened).
There is no stated maximum stake limit for turf bets; however, we reserve the right to limit the maximum stake for certain bets without communicating them on the Site. If this is the case and you place a bet whose stake exceeds the limit fixed by us, the system will nonetheless accept your bet at a lower stake and inform you about it.
The first indicative odds appear during the morning of the race day.
Several kinds of bets are available on BetClic:
- The "Win" bet pays if the horse that has been selected wins the race. Non-runners will be void.
- The "Place" bet pays if your horse finishes first or second (if at least four but no more than seven horses run) or finishes first, second or third (if at least eight horses run). Non-runners will be void.
- The "Forecast" bet pays if your two horses finish 1st and 2nd, in any order for races that have 8 runners or more. For races with between 4 and 7 runners selections must represent the exact finishing order of the first two horses in the race. Non-runners included in the selection will cause the bet placed to be void and the money staked will be refunded. There must be a minimum of 4 runners in the race for this bet-type to stand.
- The" Placed Dual Forecast" bet pays if the two horses you choose finish within the first three places (first-second, first-third, second-third, ...) in races of 8 or more runners. Your two selections must finish within the first three places, in any order, for the bet to win. Non-runners will void the bet-type. There must be a minimum of 4 runners in the race for this bet-type to stand. In races with 7 or less runners only the first two finishing positions will be counted and your selections must exactly replicate the finishing order of that race.
- The "Tricast" bet pays if the three horses you selected finish first, second and third. Any tricast bet-types that contain non-runners will become void. A minimum of 8 runners must take part in the race for this bet-type to stand.
- The “Flash” bet is a tool which can assist you in selecting a “Win” or “Place” bet. The “Flash” bet will select horses for you automatically depending on the amount of risk you wish to take in your betting. By accepting these Terms and Conditions, you agree that the indication “- de risqué” or “less risk” does not mean that you are guaranteed to win the bet. As with any betting, there is no guaranteed winner. If a bet is indicated as being “- de risque” or “less risk”, this signifies that the favourites, as determined by the turnover of bets on particular horses on the Site, are included as a choice within the random selection of your horses. “Favoris” bets generally, but not always, mean that the risks of losing the bet are lower and the amount of your winnings will be lower. “Equilibre” bets generally, but not always, mean that there is a medium level of risk of losing the bet and a medium level of winnings. “Dynamique” bets generally, but not always, mean that there is a high level of risk of losing the bet but that the amount of your winnings may be higher.
If the horse you have chosen is not running, the bet will be void and money staked will be refunded.
If a race is cancelled, all types of bets on the results of this race will be made void and all money refunded. If a race is postponed more than 1 hour after the initial start/or if the conditions of the race are substantially modified, BetClic reserves the right to cancel all the bets on this race.
When several horses running in the same race belong to the same owner, or are "coupled", it is said that they are "teamed". If one of these horses finishes first, BetClic will pay all the "Win" bets on any of the coupled horses running in the same race.
In the event of a ‘dead heat’ BetClic will calculate the Winnings as follows: In the event where several horses finish first, and cannot be split by a photo, dead heat rules apply. All bets placed on the horses concerned in the dead heat will be paid out. The amount of all the stakes on the horses that can be paid is taken from the pool. The remaining money in the pool is divided by the number of horses that finished first. Then, each part is divided again by the number of stakes on each horse. The quotient, increased by the unit stake, represents the Winnings for each horse that finished first.
VOLLEYBALL/BEACH VOLLEYBALL
Any bets on matches cancelled, abandoned or postponed and not resumed within 24 hours of the original starting time will be voided, with the exception of bets that may have already been decided.
The official number of points and sets must be completed or bets will be void, with the exception of bets that may have already been settled.
Bets will be settled on the official result at the end of the match regardless of any future change in the score line or any subsequent ruling by an official source.
Any match with a change of venue will be void.
We reserve the right to void any bets placed on ‘live events’ that are believed to have been placed with an unfair advantage.
The scoreboard is for information purposes only. BetClic cannot be held responsible for any errors on the live scoreboard and it is up to the customer to ensure they check the correct status of the game before placing a bet.
Any live bets on markets that are not resumed within 24 hours will be void.
All outright markets include playoffs, unless otherwise stated.

BetClic 14
The BetClic 14 is a pools-style sports betting game hosted by BetClic. Every week, BetClic will present one or more grids displaying 14 football matches. For each match you have to predict the outcome in terms of Home Win, Draw or Away Win - marked as 1-X-2. The first name listed represents the home team, the second name the away team, even if the game is played at a neutral venue.
The result is taken, on all matches, at the end of regular time, including added or injury time but not including extra time or penalty shoot outs.
Multiples bets
Multiple bets are bets where a player bets on the same grid more than once. This means that a player will bet more than £1 on one grid. For example, if a player bets £2 on a grid by predicting a home win and an away win for the same line, the player is in effect betting twice on the same grid. Therefore, if the player gets 11 lines correct on the first grid and 12 lines correct on the second grid, he/she will receive a share of the 20% pool for 11 correct lines and a share of the 20% pool for 12 correct lines.
For every match in the BetClic 14, you can improve your chances of winning by betting doubles and triples:
- a double bet predicts two possible outcomes of the same match – either a home win and a draw; a draw and an away win; or a home win and an away win
- a triple bet predicts all three possible outcomes of a match – home win, draw and an away win
Multiple bets improve your chances of winning – but the stakes are higher:
- for every double bet you make your stake is raised by two
- for every triple bet you make, your stake is raised by three
You can pick as many double or treble outcomes as you like (up to the maximum total bet). On each grid you can have
- seven trebles and one double
- six trebles and two doubles
- five trebles and four doubles
- four trebles and five doubles
- three trebles and seven doubles
- two and nine doubles
- one triple and 10 doubles
- 12 double bets
For example
- one grid of 14 match predictions costs £1
- one grid of 13 match predictions and one double costs £2
- one grid of 13 match predictions and one treble costs £3
- one grid of 12 match predictions and two doubles costs £4
- one grid of 12 match predictions and two trebles costs £9
- and so on…
Winnings and voided matches:
All the money bet by all the players is pooled together and a maximum of 70% of all money wagered is redistributed to all the players who predict the correct outcomes of 11 or more matches.
A player is bound to the outcome of the match once they have bet.
A match can be voided if:
- the match is postponed by more than 24 hours
- the match starts before its stated position on the grid
- the venue is changed
- for any other reason deemed by BetClic
In the case of all voided games all bets on the match – home, draw or away, 1-X-2 – will be treated as winning lines.
Taking part:
The BetClic 14 is open to all members who are over 18 years of age, solvent and not living in the United States of America or in any other Prohibited Jurisdiction.
Everyone taking part accepts:
- All or any of the rules can be modified by BetClic at any time,
- There is no financial or legal comeback on BetClic under any circumstances or right of appeal irrespective of any perceived losses or damages allegedly suffered by a player.
How the money is pooled:
A maximum of 70% of money wagered by all participants will be returned to winning players in the prize pool.
Players with 14 correct predictions will share 40% of the available prize pool, plus the BetClic jackpot. The BetClic jackpot is shared proportionally according to the individual stakes wagered by players with 14 correct predictions. For example, a player who has wagered £20 will receive a greater share of the BetClic jackpot than a player who has wagered £10.
Players with 13, 12, and 11 correct predictions will share 20% of the available prize pool at each level.
Players with 13, 12, and 11 correct predictions will share 20% of the money wagered by all participants at each level.
If there are no winners in a given grouping, or in a given week, the money is added to the jackpot and put up as prize money for the next BetClic 14 to be shared by players with 14 correct predictions. At its discretion BetClic may create new jackpots from sums that have not been won in parallel with the existing BetClic 14 prize money.
Limit of responsibility:
BetClic reserves the right to arbitrate absolutely and fairly on all possible matters of dispute. For example, if two results were reported on the same match. BetClic is not responsible for any financial loss as a result of technical issues such as, for example, but not exclusively, the reporting of a wrong result, a breakdown in transmission, problems caused by a virus or other malign activity, natural or unnatural disasters, unauthorised or illegal use of an Account. And that even if BetClic was proved to be at fault in any way the maximum liability will not exceed €500 – five hundred Euros.
