If you request for access to be blocked to the Sports universe, we will block your access to all of our Services. In relation to Partial Exclusion, once your written/email request is processed and your access to the Specific Services is blocked, no further wagers will be accepted in the requested universes but your Account shall remain open and you will be able to make use of the Services which have not been blocked. Should you not wish to receive any further marketing or other promotional material relating to the Specific Services from which you have requested exclusion, you agree that you will unsubscribe yourself from the newsletters on the Site. This can be done by logging in to your Account, clicking on ‘My Account’, then ‘My Newsletters’ and removing your subscription from the newsletters. Betting and game rules

General Betting Rules

Placing a Bet

1. Any bet placed through our Site is binding on both parties: we on the one side, and you who placed the bet on the other. Each bet is considered to be effective once you confirm your bet on our Site and as soon as the confirmed stake appears in your Account. Once the bet has been confirmed, you can no longer cancel it, nor alter its features.

2. We reserve the right to refuse to accept any bet without notification, justification or compensation. We shall in no way be held liable for typing, transmission or odds errors. We reserve the right to subsequently correct, with retroactive effect, obvious errors concerning the entry of odds and/or results (for example: a mistaken inversion of teams, odds, results, etc.).

3. You agree in placing a bet that;

i. you have not been informed of the result of the event(s) involved in your bet(s) at the time the bet was placed; In this case, we reserve the right to void the bet(s) concerned.

ii. the bet is not concerned with an event in which you are taking active part, in any capacity, including as an event official. In this case, we shall reserve the right to void the bet(s) concerned and pass on all relevant details to the relevant authorities, including ESSA;

iii. in the event that information likely to make the result of a competition predictable is made public during the bet acceptance period, we shall be allowed to void the bet concerned. For individual bets, this means we will refund the stake into the user's Account. In a combination bet, this means that the combined bet stands but the total odds will be calculated without the odds of the bet that has been declared void, that is this bet will be evaluated at odds of 1.00.

iv. in the event that the bet concerns an event the outcome of which we suspect has been fixed, we shall be allowed to void the bet concerned.

v. the time indicated by us constitutes the limit (deadline) after which you will no longer be allowed to place a bet, irrespective of the real starting time of the event. We apply the rule that the winner of a given competition is the person or team who has been declared to be the winner of the competition by midnight on the day on which the event itself concluded. Any modification of the results or classification arising after this time limit, such as a disciplinary measure, will therefore have no incidence on the result of the competition, which has been stated earlier. However, in the event that proof is established that a competition has been fixed, we reserve the right to void bets involving this competition such that the customer recovers his stake.

vi. Unless specified within the rules section for each sport, where an event (match or competition) is cancelled, postponed or abandoned, any relevant bets still remain valid if the event is resumed within 48 hours from its original starting time, otherwise bets will be deemed void. However, bets related to results already acquired at the moment of suspension (for example, the half-time result) will be settled regularly. In the event that the competitions are presented erroneously (e.g. inversion of the visiting/home teams, an opponent not playing against the displayed team), the bets concerned will be deemed void. In the event of at least two competitors being declared the winner (a “Dead Heat”), the odds will be resettled so your winnings would be divided by the number of Dead Heat winners. Example: In a Formula 1 race, consider the scenario in which Lewis Hamilton has odds of 6.00 for victory and Fernando Alonso has odds of 3.00 for victory, and both cars pass the finish line at the exact same time such that both drivers are declared the winner. If you have bet 5 Euros on Hamilton’s victory, your winnings will be then calculated like this: 5 x (((6-1)/2) + 1) = 17.5 Euros of winnings If you have bet 10 Euros on Alonso’s victory, your winnings will be calculated like this: 10 x (((3-1)/2) + 1) = 20 Euros of winnings In case of any discrepancy/discordance between name and number of a competitor, we will take the name of the competitor into consideration for the outcome of the bets.

vii. our records shall be the final authority in determining the validity and terms of any wagers you place and the circumstances in which they were made.

4. Betclic does not accept multiple bets which have related contingency and reserves the right to void, at its discretion, multiple bets placed on related contingencies. A related contingency is a multiple bet where the outcome of one selection can contribute to the outcome of another selection. An example of this would be a multiple bet containing selections for France to be top European team in the Rugby World Cup and France to win the Rugby World Cup. Combinations with related contingencies will be automatically blocked and unavailable to place in multiples during regular bet placement. In instances where a bet containing related contingencies has been accepted in error Betclic will completely void the multiple placed and will return the stake to the customer. Betclic reserves the right to determine which bets have related contingency. In certain instances, Betclic will make available combinations of related contingencies for customers to place bets on – a typical example of this would be Rooney to be World Cup Top Goalscorer and England to win the World Cup.

5. Should a multiple bet/parlay include a non-runner or a void selection, the bet will be settled on the remaining selections.

Sportsbook Winnings

6. Winnings will be automatically paid into your Account as soon as reasonably practicable after the event is settled and can immediately be used to place further bets.

7. When a single bet is won, the net winnings correspond to the amount of the stake multiplied by the odds, less the stake itself. When a multiple combination bet (accumulator) is won, the winnings correspond to the initial stake multiplied by the multiplication of the odds for each of the events that you predicted.

8. We also operate a pool system for certain bets, including the Betclic 14 bet type and other bets known as special bets. Rules for these bets differ from the rules for fixed odds betting. The final odds used to calculate your winnings are calculated once the bet is closed and according to the amount wagered by you and all the other bettors on the different choices. We shall distribute the available winnings between all the winners after deduction of a commission.

9. We reserve the right to correct any potential calculation errors in your Account balance at any time, including for bets whose winnings have been awarded. We undertake to communicate to you the statement of the corrections made.

10. The maximum amount of winnings payable to you is limited to 200,000 Euros (or its equivalent in other accepted currencies) per customer and per bet if it concerns a single or a multiple. We will apply this rule without any obligation to notify you - at the time that you confirm your bet - that the potential payout for the bet you have just placed is higher than the maximum amount of 200,000 Euros which will be paid to you if you win your bet. Betclic reserves the right to apply a winnings limit different to that stated in this paragraph and/or to determine specific winnings limits in respect of individual players at its sole discretion.

11. The limit of winnings that can be accumulated by you during one week (from Monday at 00.00 to the following Sunday at 24.00 (Central European Time) is 500,000 Euros (or its equivalent in other accepted currencies). Betclic reserves the right to apply a weekly winnings limit different to that stated in this paragraph and/or to determine specific winnings limits in respect of individual players at its sole discretion. The minimum stake for any bet is 0.5 EUR, £1, 2 PLN, 100 HUF, 11 CZK, 2 RON, 5 SEK, 4 NOK, 1 BRL, 0.5 USD, 3 ARS, 350 CLP or 1 CAD. There is no stated maximum limit for bets, however we reserve the right to limit the maximum stake for certain bets, without communicating them on the Site. If this is the case and you place a bet whose stake exceeds the limit fixed by us, the system will nonetheless accept your bet at a lower stake and inform you about it. If you have placed several identical bets (single bets or bets in one or several multiple combinations) whose winnings exceed the aforementioned limits, we shall reserve the right to reduce the stakes placed by you on the bets concerned such that your winnings remain within the defined winnings limits.

Sportsbook Promotions

12. You may be eligible to participate in bonus programmes, the conditions, amount and issuance of which shall be subject to our discretion, and shall be non-transferable. Any bonus offered by us is limited to one per Account which shall mean no more than one bonus per user and one bonus per IP address. For the avoidance of doubt, no person who has held a Betclic account and received a Welcome Cashback Bonus at any time may receive a further Welcome Cashback Bonus in relation to any Betclic account held by that person. Free bets cannot be used to bet on combined bets unless a first deposit has been made. Save in relation to the Welcome Cashback Bonus (the conditions for which are set out below), to unlock or withdraw the bonus, the bonus amount (or other promotional action) received must have been bet three times, on one or more bets with a minimum of 1.50 odds. Each bet must be placed on an event with three or more potential outcomes. If the bonus amount is placed on more than one bet, each bet must be placed on different markets (i.e. different bet types on one fixture or one bet type on different fixtures).

13. Concerning the credit and balance of Accounts that have received promotional actions (including, but not limited to, the Welcome Cashback Bonus, the Welcome Deposit Bonus, refer-a-friend, cash-back bets and free bets), note that only one bonus can be granted per email address, credit card and e-payment account. Rules relating specifically to the Refer-a-Friend, Welcome Cashback and Deposit bonuses are set out below.

14. Betclic awards bonuses and entry to selected promotions in good faith to players who use its services for entertainment purposes and as a token of appreciation for loyal play. Free bets, bonuses and entry to promotions will be revoked, denied or withdrawn from players who abuse the spirit of this offer. We reserve the right to cancel a bonus offer at any time in case of any abuse of the offer and to terminate the offender’s account with immediate effect. Betclic retains its right to prosecute offenders. ‘Abuse’ includes, but is not limited to, the opening of multiple accounts to claim multiple bonuses. For Accounts credited with bonus amounts - bets placed will be taken from any cash deposits first and, once all cash deposits have been used, from the bonus amounts in the Account. We reserve the right to cancel a bonus given to you following a deposit made by you if the deposit has not been used to place a bet. We reserve the right to cancel a bonus and any winnings made by betting with all or part of the bonus amount in the event that we suspect that bonus abuse has occurred. Please note that you will only be able to receive or benefit from offers that apply to your country of residence. All bonuses (apart from the Welcome Cashback) can be used on all sports bets on our Site. The rules regarding the Welcome Cashback are listed below. Betclic reserves the right to vary the amount of bonuses granted and the currencies in which they are granted depending on the user’s country of residence at any time and for any reason whatsoever. Betclic reserves the right to offer a specific bonus to a specific customer or group of customers, to terminate a bonus offer, to change the terms of a bonus offer and/or to exchange one type of bonus offer for another at its sole discretion and at any time.

Refer-a-Friend promotion

15. The refer-a-friend promotion is a bonus applicable to existing users who have an Account (“Referrer”) and who refer for registration to the Site a friend or colleague who does not, and has never had, an Account (“Referee”). Users who are resident in any jurisdiction apart from a Prohibited Jurisdiction (as defined at 3.8 of these Terms & Conditions) are eligible for the refer-a-friend promotion. Referrers are not permitted to refer a member of their family nor are they permitted to refer friends or colleagues from the same household or with whom they share a credit or debit card or e-payment account. In the event that Betclic reasonably suspects that a Referrer has used spam, large email distribution lists or any other type of email abuse in order to refer new users, Betclic will not award a bonus to the Referrer and the Referrer will be eliminated from the Monthly Challenge. Betclic reserves the right to suspend the Referrer’s Account pending investigation and to terminate the Account. Betclic reserves the right to withhold the bonus from the Referrer and to discount bets made by one or more Referees where Betclic suspects that the Referrer/Referee(s) has abused the spirit of the bonus offer including, but not limited to, instances where Referees make identical or very similar deposit and betting patterns.

16. In order for the Referrer and the Referee to receive a bonus, the Referee, having opened an Account, must deposit at least £30 (or the relevant amount/currency, as stated in the specific terms and conditions of the promotion which are located on the promotion landing page on the Site) in his Account and must place at least 10 separate bets on sports events with at least three possible outcomes, the odds for which must be a minimum of 1.50 (“Qualifying Bets”). Each of the 10 Qualifying Bets must be placed on different markets (i.e. different bet types on one fixture or one bet type on different fixtures). If the Referee loses his first bet, a bonus (to match the amount of the first bet placed by the Referee up to a maximum of £35) will be refunded to his Account. Within 24 hours of the Referee having placed all 10 valid bets, a bonus of £10 will be credited to the Referrer’s Account. In order to be withdrawn from his Account, the Referrer’s bonus amount must have been bet at least three times on sports events with at least three possible outcomes, the odds for which must be a minimum of 1.50. If the bonus amount is placed on more than one bet, each bet must be placed on different markets (i.e. different bet types on one fixture or one bet type on different fixtures). The Referee will not be entitled to any other bonus, and specifically will not receive the Welcome Cashback bonus, by virtue of registering with Betclic. Further conditions may apply to the Refer-A-Friend promotion, depending on the Referrer/Referee’s country of residence. Any such conditions can be found in the specific terms and conditions of the promotion which are located on the promotion landing page on the Site, in the language linked to the user’s account.

17. In order to participate in the Refer-a-Friend Monthly Challenge, the Referrer must introduce at least three valid Referees within the period of one calendar month. The winner of the Monthly Challenge is the Referrer who refers the most valid Referees to Betclic within the monthly period. Only Referees who have placed their Qualifying Bets before the end of the calendar month will be counted towards the Referrer’s total. MARTIAL ARTS

All bets on postponed fights will be valid for 30 days.

Pre-live betting

Match Winner – The result of the right refers to the official judges’ scorecard at the end of the scheduled rounds, or during the fight if a KO, TKO or Disqualification occurs.

Outright/Match Result Betting – if a fighter is substituted, all bets on the fight will be made void.

The result refers to the ring/cage verdict, regardless of any later change by a governing body or commission.

If a no-contest or technical draw is declared, all bets will be made void.

If a points verdict is given before the full number of scheduled rounds have been completed, bets will be settled on the round in which the fight was stopped.

If a fighter withdraws during the period between rounds, the fight is deemed to have ended in the previous round.

The bell will signal the end of a round and the bell being sounded again will signal the start of the next.

Live betting

Match Winner – The result of the right refers to the official judges’ scorecard at the end of the scheduled rounds, or during the fight if a KO, TKO or Disqualification occurs.

Fight Outcome (5-Way) – Draw is a scorecard draw. KO or TKO is when the fighter is deemed unable to fight during the round. This can occur with a KO, TKO or Tapout (Submission). Decision is on scorecard points between the 3 assigned judges to the fight. The possibilities are ‘Unanimous Decision’ or ‘Split Decision’.

Fight to end in specific round – This bet type refers to whether the fight will end in a specified round. If the fighter is deemed unable to fight in between rounds, then the last round fought is considered the winner.

ATHLETICS

Outright Betting - Bets will stand whether the athlete competes or not.

Matchup Betting – Both competitors must start the event or bets will be void.

The podium position will count as the official result regardless of any subsequent ruling or change by an official governing body. In the event that there is no podium ceremony the result will be settled as the order crossing the finishing line.

Any events cancelled or moved to a different venue will result in bets being void.

Team medals count as one medal only.

BADMINTON

All rules apply to both ‘pre-live’ and ‘live’ betting.

A match must be completed in its entirety or bets will be void, with the exception of bets in relation to which the result is already known, e.g. First Set Winner.

Any matches cancelled, postponed or abandoned must be resumed within 48 hours of the original start time or bets will be void.

In relation to ‘pre-live’ betting only, all bets placed in the knowledge that the event has already started will be void.

Bets will be settled on the official result at the end of the match regardless of any future change in the score line or any subsequent ruling by an official source.

Match Winner - a match is deemed to have started after the first point has been played. In the event of a match not starting, all bets will be void. A match must be fully completed for the bet to stand.

Set Winner – The entire set must be completed for bets to stand.

Outright betting – all in run or not.

BASEBALL

All games must start on the scheduled date (local time) or matches will be void. Any games postponed or cancelled will be void. All outrights include play-offs unless otherwise stated. Divisional betting is settled on the record at the end of the regular season. In MLB teams must complete at least 160 games regular season games for bets to be valid. MLB Specific Rules:

Pitchers – In MLB, BOTH named pitchers (according to Las Vegas information) at the time of placing a bet must start and throw at least 1 pitch or all bets will be void. All bets placed before a change of either pitcher will be void. It is the client’s responsibility to be aware of any pitcher changes. In Japanese NPB and Mexican LMB no pitchers are declared and all bets stand regardless of who throws the first pitch of the match.

4 ½ innings rule – If a game is called or suspended winners are official after at least 5 full innings of play are complete (4 ½ if the home team is leading). For betting purposes winners are determined after the last full inning played (unless the home team scores to tie or is leading in the bottom of the inning, and the score is determined at the time of the called game).

8 ½ innings rule – The game must go at least 9 full innings (8 ½ if the home team is leading) for bets to have action. For betting purposes winners are determined after the last full inning played (unless the home team scores to tie or is leading in the bottom of the inning, and the score is determined at the time of the called game).

Called or suspended games - Match winner bets will be subject to the 4 ½ innings rule. In such a case the final score is taken after the last full complete innings (unless the home team scores to tie or is leading in the bottom of the inning, and the score is determined at the time of the called game). Total and Run Line (Handicap) bets are subject to the 8 ½ innings rule. All other bets will be void unless the result is already known e.g. 1st Team to Score. For betting purposes games do not carry over to the following day.

International Specific Rules (Japanese NPB, Mexican LMB):

No named starting pitchers - bets stand regardless of the starting pitcher for each team.

Games must go at least 9 innings (8 ½ if the home team is leading). In the event of a ‘Mercy Rule’, bets will be settled on the score at the time. For betting purposes, suspended or called games do not carry over to the following day.

A Score in the Innings – Bet on whether there will be a score in the innings. Bets on the 9th inning do NOT include extra innings. Top and bottom of the inning must be completed, unless run has already been scored.

FOOTBALL

Pre-match and ante-post betting:
All bets on football matches apply to the statutory 90 minutes play, including injury time but not extra time or penalty shoot-outs, unless otherwise stated, as for betting on the team to qualify to the next round.

If any match is abandoned before 90 minutes have been played the selection will be deemed void unless the outcome of the bet has already been decided, i.e. first scorer or time of first goal.

When an event (match or competition) is cancelled, postponed or abandoned, all relevant bets remain valid if the event is resumed within 24 hours from its original starting time. If the event has not started or resumed within this 24-hour period bets will be void.
Where the venue of any match is changed, all bets will be void.

Bets will be accepted up to the time shown on the Site, which normally corresponds to the match kick-off, unless the selection is for an advertised "live betting" event. All bets placed on pre-live markets after the event has started are void.

If any match is abandoned before 40 minutes have been played the selection will be deemed void unless the outcome has already been decided, i.e. first scorer or time of first goal.

When an event (match or competition) is cancelled, postponed or abandoned, all relevant bets remain valid if the event is resumed within 24 hours from its original starting time. GOLF

The winner will be the player achieving the highest placing at the end of the tournament.

Play-offs may determine the tournament winner. Dead heat rules will apply for placings.

If one player misses the cut, the other is deemed the winner. Where both players miss the cut the player with the lowest score after the cut has been made will determine settlement. If both players fail to complete a particular round, the winner will be the player with the lowest score from the previous round.

If one player is disqualified, either prior to the completion of two rounds or after both players have made the cut, the other player is deemed the winner. If both players are disqualified the player who progresses furthest in the tournament will be deemed the winner. If a player is disqualified during either the 3rd or 4th rounds, when his opponent has already missed the cut, the disqualified player is deemed the winner.

A price will be offered for the tie and in the event of a tie bets on either player to win will be lost. Where a match bet involves three players (threesome) the conditions listed above will apply, except in the event of a tie where dead heat rules will apply. Non runner – threesome void.

Group Betting/Top U.K. Player etc: Groups will consist of four or more players and the winner will be the player achieving the highest placing at the end of the tournament. Any player missing the cut will be considered a loser. If all players miss the cut, the lowest score after the cut has been made will determine settlement. If a player is disqualified settlement will be on the same basis as for match betting. Players are grouped together for betting purposes only. Non runner - no bet, deductions in line with Tattersalls' Rule 4 will apply. Dead heat rules apply except where the winner is determined by a play-off.

18 Hole Betting: The winner will be the player with the lowest score over 18 holes. In the event of a 2 or 3 ball being re-arranged, bets will be settled on the original pairings/groups. In the event of any non runners then the 2 or 3 ball will be void. In 2 ball betting a price will be offered for the tie. Dead heat rules will apply to 3 ball betting.

If a player is disqualified his opponent will be deemed the winner unless play in the next round has started in which case bets will be settled on the original scores. Where both/all players are disqualified bets will be void unless play in the next round has started in which case bets will be settled on the original scores.

When special bets are offered grouping more than 3 players over 18 holes (e.g. 7 ball, 9 ball etc.) dead heat rules will apply. Matchplay: If a match has started, but is not completed for whatever reason bets will be settled on the official result.

General Golf Rules: In tournaments affected by adverse weather or where the number of rounds scheduled to be played are reduced for any other reason, outright bets will be settled on the official result regardless of the number of rounds played, unless there is no further play in the tournament after a bet has been struck in which case it will be void.

A player is deemed to have played once they have teed off. In the event of a player withdrawing after having teed off, stakes will be lost on outright, group, match and 18 hole betting.

Outright Betting: Bets will stand whether the player competes or not. If less than 36 holes are played in the tournament all bets will be void. Dead heat rules apply.

Any player disqualified will be deemed to have finished last.

2 ball and 3 ball betting - these refer to the original rounds created on the bet type and will be settled based on the player achieving the highest placing at the end of the given round.

3 balls - in the event of two or more players shooting the same score, dead heat rules will apply.

The Betclic 14 is a pools-style sports betting game hosted by Betclic. Every week, Betclic will present one or more grids displaying 14 football matches. For each match you have to predict the outcome in terms of Home Win, Draw or Away Win - marked as 1-X-2. The first name listed represents the home team, the second name the away team, even if the game is played at a neutral venue.
The result is taken, on all matches, at the end of regular time, including added or injury time but not including extra time or penalty shoot outs.

Multiples bets

Multiple bets are bets where a player bets on the same grid more than once. This means that a player will bet more than £1 on one grid. For example, if a player bets £2 on a grid by predicting a home win and an away win for the same line, the player is in effect betting twice on the same grid. Therefore, if the player gets 11 lines correct on the first grid and 12 lines correct on the second grid, he/she will receive a share of the 20% pool for 11 correct lines and a share of the 20% pool for 12 correct lines.
For every match in the Betclic 14, you can improve your chances of winning by betting doubles and triples:
- a double bet predicts two possible outcomes of the same match – either a home win and a draw; a draw and an away win; or a home win and an away win
- a triple bet predicts all three possible outcomes of a match – home win, draw and an away win

Multiple bets improve your chances of winning – but the stakes are higher:
- for every double bet you make your stake is raised by two
- for every triple bet you make, your stake is raised by three

You can pick as many double or treble outcomes as you like (up to the maximum total bet). On each grid you can have
- seven trebles and one double
- six trebles and two doubles
- five trebles and four doubles
- four trebles and five doubles
- three trebles and seven doubles
- two and nine doubles
- one triple and 10 doubles
- 12 double bets

For example
- one grid of 14 match predictions costs £1
- one grid of 13 match predictions and one double costs £2
- one grid of 13 match predictions and one treble costs £3
- one grid of 12 match predictions and two doubles costs £4
- one grid of 12 match predictions and two trebles costs £9
- and so on…

Winnings and voided matches:
All the money bet by all the players is pooled together and a maximum of 70% of all money wagered is redistributed to all the players who predict the correct outcomes of 11 or more matches.
A player is bound to the outcome of the match once they have bet.

A match can be voided if:
- the match is postponed by more than 24 hours
- the match starts before its stated position on the grid
- the venue is changed
- for any other reason deemed by Betclic

In the case of all voided games all bets on the match – home, draw or away, 1-X-2 – will be treated as winning lines.

Taking part:
The Betclic 14 is open to all members who are over 18 years of age, solvent and not living in the United States of America or in any other Prohibited Jurisdiction.

Everyone taking part accepts:
- All or any of the rules can be modified by Betclic at any time,
- There is no financial or legal comeback on Betclic under any circumstances or right of appeal irrespective of any perceived losses or damages allegedly suffered by a player.

How the money is pooled:
A maximum of 70% of money wagered by all participants will be returned to winning players in the prize pool.
Players with 14 correct predictions will share 40% of the available prize pool, plus the Betclic jackpot. The Betclic jackpot is shared proportionally according to the individual stakes wagered by players with 14 correct predictions. For example, a player who has wagered £20 will receive a greater share of the Betclic jackpot than a player who has wagered £10.
Players with 13, 12, and 11 correct predictions will share 20% of the available prize pool at each level.
Players with 13, 12, and 11 correct predictions will share 20% of the money wagered by all participants at each level.
If there are no winners in a given grouping, or in a given week, the money is added to the jackpot and put up as prize money for the next Betclic 14 to be shared by players with 14 correct predictions. At its discretion Betclic may create new jackpots from sums that have not been won in parallel with the existing Betclic 14 prize money.

Limit of responsibility:
Betclic reserves the right to arbitrate absolutely and fairly on all possible matters of dispute. For example, if two results were reported on the same match. Betclic is not responsible for any financial loss as a result of technical issues such as, for example, but not exclusively, the reporting of a wrong result, a breakdown in transmission, problems caused by a virus or other malign activity, natural or unnatural disasters, unauthorised or illegal use of an Account. And that even if Betclic was proved to be at fault in any way the maximum liability will not exceed €500 – five hundred Euros.
